I’ve been away from the blogging desk working on several forthcoming projects, and so have been doing most of my posting on Facebook, but here are a few recent publications:

Firstly, a short crime story, ‘Speedboats & Bali’ in the Review of Australian Fiction. This terrific little journal teams up an emerging writer with an established writer in an issue that includes stories from both. I worked with Sam Carmody, whose first novel, ‘The Windy Season’  (short-listed for the Vogel/Australian Literary Award) is due out with Allen&Unwin in 2016. Our journal issue can be found here at http://reviewofaustralianfiction.com/issues/volume-15-issue-6/

Another crime short  is featured in the newly released Crime Scenes anthology of Australian crime fiction, published by Spineless Wonders. Some of the writers include Leigh Redhead, Angela Savage, Tony Birch, Peter Corris, PM Newton and Andrew Nette. The anthology can be found here – https://shortaustralianstories.com.au/products-page/anthologies-3/crime-…

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about a terrific local sculptor – Simon Gilby, and his haunting work ‘Entitlement 1’ as part of last year’s Fremantle ‘Sculpture by the Sea.’ The artist profile was published in Drain Mag – Journal of Art & Culture, and can be found here – http://drainmag.com/entitlement-1/

In the meantime, I’ve been finalising the next Frank Swann novel, ‘Old Scores’, which is due out with Fremantle Press in October 2016.
